Phil is a microbiologist with over 20 years’ experience in clinical, industrial and pharmaceutical industries. He has extensive knowledge in managing and operating QC microbiological and analytical laboratories at manufacturing sites for both synthetic and biologic products. He is currently the Business Process Owner for Microbiology in Quality and is responsible to strategy, standardization and issue management at AstraZeneca.

Phil is an active member of the Parenteral Drug Association, the Pharmaceutical Microbiology Expert Discussion Group and volunteer member of the USP Microbiology Expert Committee.
